Actual rugs may not have colors that are exactly like the ones shown in the image on your computer monitor or in a printed catalog.
Every computer is set up differently and pictures on your computer or printed on paper don’t look exactly like the real thing. The only way for you to know for sure if a rug has the right colors is to order the smallest size available as a sample and then return it for a refund. The smallest 2’x3’ size won’t look like the larger sizes, but will show you colors and quality. Another way to shop would be to visit a local store that sells area rugs and copy down the information from the label on the back of the rug you want and then call us with the information. We will do our best to save you more moneyMost furniture and carpet stores carry a lot of the same rugs that we do.Call our toll free number 1-800-275-7020.
You can order any rug and return it for a refund.
Just ship the rug within 2 weeks. We don’t have to receive it within 2 weeks. You pay the return shipping cost.

Wall to wall carpeting is porous and allows dirt and dust to pass through and accumulate underneath thus creating an unhealthy environment. You cannot clean underneath your wall to wall carpeting. Dust mites are breeding and causing allergic reactions in sensitive people. When you take up wall to wall carpeting there will be an accumulation of dirt. It is surprising how much there will be. When you walk on your wall to wall carpeting plumes of dust are wafted into the air that you breathe. Dogs and cats add to this problem.
An area rug on a hard surface is a much more healthy choice. You can clean underneath your rug. You can even turn the rug over and vacuum the back of your rug. An area rug can be sent to a professional rug cleaner where it will be washed and rinsed clean. On most area rugs you can use a Hoover or Bissell portable cleaner to clean the pile and back of the rug. At 1001arearugs.com we carry the greatest selection of area rugs that will make your place a healthy beautiful home.

Hand tufted rugs can be some of the thickest plushest and heaviest types of area rugs.
They begin with a drawing on canvas of the design that shows what and where the colors are going to be tufted.
The correct colored yarn is then inserted through the canvas with a tufting gun that has a needle with the yarn running through the eye of the needle.
The tufting gun is guided by a person that is skilled in this process.
The rug is then put through a shearing machine that smoothes and evens out the pile.
A secondary canvas backing that locks the yarn in place is attached to the primary canvas back.
The edges of the rug are hand finished with over cast stitching.
A good quality tufted wool and silk rug like the Nourison 2000 Collection and Nourison 3000 Collection can be as beautiful as hand knotted wool and silk rugs that sell for five times the price.
